Cooling center options in Tarrytown starting June 30, 2026

In light of the high temperatures in the forecast over the next several days, the Village of Tarrytown is providing information to the public about places to stay cool for residents who have limited access to air conditioned space.

Warner Library at 121 North Broadway, is open daily during the following hours:

·        Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

·        Thursday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

·        Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

·        Saturday the Library is closed on the 4^th of July.

·        Sundays during the summer the library is closed.

The Tarrytown Recreation Center at 238 West Main Street is open during the following hours:

·        Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

·        Saturday the 4^th of July from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

·        Sunday July 5^th from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We encourage everyone to limit your physical activity and stay hydrated to prevent dehydration and heatstroke.
